A local bus, Milwaukee County Transit System #57, picks up passengers outside the station. Sidewalks leading to the station from the north provide a way for people to walk to or from the station and nearby downtown attractions. The station includes a spacious, attractive, and well-lit waiting area. Currently, there are seven train departures from here on the Amtrak Hiawatha service to Chicago (six on Sunday) and seven train returns from Chicago\'s Union station back here (six on Sunday). Also, Amtrak\'s long-distance Empire Builder route serves this station.
