document.write('MCC students, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to <em>Direct Access to the Muslim World, with Dr. Hadeer Abo El Nagah, Presented by the Social Sciences Division</em>. <br /><br />This event will be held on Tuesday, October 13 from 2:00 to 3:30pm in the RTC Auditorium. Admission is free and food will be provided. <p>Aaron Gulyas and Brian Harding, both of the MCC History Department, will be on hand to give introductory talks on Islam and history. Dr. Hadeer Abo El Nagah, visiting Fulbright Scholar to MCC, will be the keynote speaker. The purpose of the Fulbright Scholar program is to bring academics from around the world to American colleges and universities, and American academics to colleges and universities around the world. She will be speaking about her experience as a Fulbright scholar and as a Muslim woman in America. She will also welcome questions from the audience.<br /></p> <p>Dr. Hadeer Abo El Nagah\'s research interests include Middle Eastern literature, Islamic literature and culture, Arab American literature, post colonial literature and African American literature. Dr. Abo El Nagah has taught in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Canada and the United States. She received her PhD in English Literature from Al Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt.
