document.write('March 5, 2008&#160;Friends – as many of you know, the College of Education (COE) has been in the process of seeking national accreditation through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). &#160;Since Saturday noon (March 1) through today at noon we have had 6 national and 5 state visitors on campus examining our evidence during a joint NCATE and Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) site visit. &#160;Now that the NCATE/TSPC visit is officially over I want to thank all of you for your participation in this process. &#160;The visitors made it clear that they appreciated how every member of the COE played a part in the success of the visit and were supported by the rest of the university community. &#160;Having said that, I’d like to thank some people specifically: Faculty, staff, and administrators who were a part of the COE when the national accreditation process started many years ago.
